I have never looked in this area for ancestors, but would like to ask all those who have, how to go about getting info. I will give you what I know and see what you suggest. I am wondering about getting maybe a City Directory listing or a copy of a marriage record. Any ideas or assist would be welcome.
Thanks Charlene Isaac Machado Lima came to United States on June 13 1912 with port of entry being Rhode Island. He came from Terceira, Azores. I next pick him up in New Bedford Mass, where he met Margarida Mendes and married her Oct 13 1917. When his brother came over, Isaac was living at 89 Sufti St New Bedford. The first two children for Isaac and Margarida were born there. Joe Lima May 19, 1919 and Emily Lima Aug 29 1921. Sometime after that they came to California and I have that info.
