Bev I have only been looking in the 1880's on at this time, not the 1860's. Send me your snail mail address and I'll send you a marriage record for the 1860's that Eloise Cadinha translated for me years ago. She wrote out the Portuguese and then line-by-line translated it. It's a good "guide" to help you learn the form of the marriage records of that time and what they say. I use it in all of my classes.
