May 20, 1933 - March 14, 2009
Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on March 14, 2009,
at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Helena (nee Pacheco) for 52 years. Loving
father of Lucy and Fernando De Melo, Antonio and the late Zita Rego, Armando
and Laura Rego, Carlos and Shirley Rego, Durvalino and Maria Rego, John and
Tania Rego. Cherished Vavo of the late Lanna-Lee, the late Kendrick, Nina, the
late Aimee, Corey, Eric, Matthew, Issac, Zachary, Jonathan, Sandra, Emily,
Brandon, Monica, Leanne, Mark, Jesse, Lucas and Tatiana. Survived by his
brothers Jose and Joaquim and predeceased by his brother Vergilio and his
sister Maria Jose. Sadly missed by many family and friends in Canada and
Portugal. Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near
James) on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers on Tuesday at
8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Mary's Church on Wednesday at 10
a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Our Lady of Victory
Mausoleum.
