Dear Nancy, ???? I looked at the baptism record of Manoel, 1878, image 4. The baby was being baptized in February but was born LAST December. It says "Decembro ultimo". Of course there is no comma after "ultimo" so the next word is "filho" causing the confusion. He is not the last child, just a legitimate child born last December. Arline Silveira in Grover Beach, CA
