In researching another family line, I found a Helena Rocha b. 1895, Horta, Fayal. She came to the US in 1907 from Horta, Fayal, to join her mother Rita Carolina Correia da Silva b. abt. 1879 probably Horta, Fayal, dau. of Francisco Correia da Silva and Catherina C. Da Silva. Helena Rocha settled in Fall River MA with her mother Rita and 2nd husband Horacio (Horace) de Souza e Silva who seems in later Fall River censuses to have gone by Horace Souza and I think Helene went by Helen Sousa(sp). Still trying to figure out the children or Horacio/Rita. Looks like there are daughters Clotilde (not sure where she was born but on her father's ship's manifest 1925, it says he is going to daughter Clotilde de Sousa, Fall River and on another ship's manifest 1912, travelling with him and his wife is a daughter Zulmira de Sousa, 11 months old b. in USA (but can't seem to find her US birth record, and then a birth record we found for dau. Amelia b. 1912.
