Immigrated to California in 1889, worked these various odd jobs to purchase two farms in Merced, CA. He was an alfalfa and sweet potatoe farmer. Leopoldina Lucindo Freitas Born: 16 May 1884 Fajan Grande, Flores, Azores, Portugal Died: 19 Mar 1973 Merced, Merced, California, USA Note: Leopoldina's father was Jose Lucindo de Freitas according to the NY Passenger listing.
