Hi Loretta, William Goulart could be related I am not sure. Before my dad passed he told me of an uncle who immigrated to the Hollister - Salinas area in the mid 1800's. He was Manuel Goulart and had a large family and many of his descendents still live in that area, also Watsonville area, and Modesto area and in the San Joaquin Valley. I have not been able to find anything on this uncle who was from Sao Jorge (Calheta or Topo)
