Hi Fred,

Generally speaking, most people have to go about 200 years to make a
connection on a list, but there are always a lucky few that do find another
researcher right off the bat.

You are in luck with the immigration years of 1901 & 1902. Emigration from
the Azores for the port of Ponta Delgada (the port for Sao Miguel) for those
years is online at the Centro de Conhecimento dos Acores (we just call it
the CCA).
http://pg.azores.gov.pt/drac/cca/ig/

You must use Internet Explorer or Safari. Firefox stops working a portion
of the way into the web site. Click on "Passaportes" on the right side.
Then pick Ponta Delgada. Then pick the file for 1901 or 1902 and start
looking. Once you find them, it will say Rabo de Peixe for the village. It
will also say their parents. If you can't read the column headings, just
copy the link for the page you are on and send it to the list and someone
will translate.

If the bride was born in Rabo de Peixe (the Passaportes will state that),
then I'd look there for the marriage. If she was born in a different
freguesia (village) than her husband, I'd look there for the marriage. If
it's not there, then I'd look in the husband's freguesia. Then I'd start to
work my way out from there.
