I have recently uncover from my mothers pages some more information on my Acorean heritage:
My g grandfather Jose Gerevas born Feb. 2 1852 in the Acores arrived in the USA sometime in the early 1860's with his brother. Jose Gerevas was soon adapted by an Erastus Harvey Bartlett from Deering NH.. Jose then went by Joseph Bartlett. Moved to Everett Mass Married Sarah Fields, fathered my grandfather Harvey Francis, Who father Harvey Francis Jr Who fathered me, Frank Bartlett. Little is now known of Jose's or my paternal link to the Acores. However, we believe his older sister Maria de Jesus Gerevas, (born 1843 the Acores) arrived at the Port of Boston July 16 1873. Probably to meet her brother who we think by then has moved to Merced CA.. Can anyone give me some genealogical advise with this info how to find my Acorean roots.
