Free to All Portuguese workshop Thursday April 29, 2010.
George Pacheco, with over 20 years of Genealogy experience, who
resides in East Providence, RI. will teach you how to trace your
Portuguese roots using sources from Portugal, mainland, the Azores,
Madeira, Cabo Verde, and Brasil. He will tell you how to access Vital
Records, archives and registries. He will show you many free internet
sites as well as low cost sites. Since 1994 George Pacheco has been A
Family History Consultant for the Family History Center of The Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, at 400 Cross Road North
Dartmouth, Ma he, has given workshops at Rhode Island College and at
UMASS Dartmouth. Handouts will be available.
George Pacheco is a
lecturer and a researcher, he often travels to the Azores to research
the local archives and has collected materials not readily available
to the public. This program is free and open to all, but registration
