Jacki: If you find any info about ships that arrived in San Francisco from
Hawaii in 1892, would you PLEASE let me know what you find.
My paternal grandfather, Joao "John" Cambra or Camara, or Roble, or Rebello,
said that he immigrated in 1892.
Thanks
Shirley

Does anyone know where or if I can find passenger lists for ships
sailing from Hawaii to San Francsico in 1892?

I've looked on Ancestry and the only ones I could find start in 1893.
I couldn't find anything for ships leaving Hawaii on the Hawaiian Archives site.

In particular, I am looking for my 2nd great grandparents, Manuel and
Joaquina Rosa Pereira (sometimes went by Perry) who arrived in Hawaii on the
Hansa in 1882 and suposedly left there on Aug 17, 1892 on the SS Australia
bound for San Francisco. I am trying to verify this as correct information.
They had one child (Maria 2) with them when they arrived in Hawaii from Sao
Miguel. They had six children with them when they left Hawaii. They settled in
Oakland and stayed there until they both died a few months apart in 1933. The
information that I have which was passed down by a cousin are just a hand
written collection of names and dates. There are no copies of any documents or
source information. There was a total of 11 children listed for them. Although
there were only birthdates and places for 7.

I have not been able to find them on any of the census' either. Which
is strange because they should be in Oakland for the 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930
census.

          Thanks in advance

          Thank you
