With help from another cousin of mine who is also researching, Jose Pimentel de Andrade my great grandfather has been found. Maybe someone else here in this group is connected to the family...would be nice!!
Jose Pimentel de Andrade born 6 of August 1880 in Vila Franca do Campo, Sao Miguel to parents Marianno Pimentel de Andrade (of Vila Franca do Campo) and Maria de Luz (of Sao Sebastiao, Ginetes, Ponta Delgada) Paternal grandson of Manoel Pimentel and Marianna Feliberta Maternal grandson of Manoel Carvalho and Claudina de Jesus. Jose Pimentel de Andrade married Maria de Conceicao Couto Jose Pimentel de Andrade died June 16, 1942. I had also kept a photocopy of something i found in passing in case the named people were related to me...Turns out that Marianno and Maria da Luz also had another son named Manoel born in Vila Franca on 22 of October 1874. All the names of the parents and grandparents match.
