From a book "Portuguese Emigration to the United State, 1820-1930" by Maria
Ioannis Benis Baganha in the Salt Lake City, Family History Library. From the
title info and intro note this 1990 work was a revised version of her
University of Pennsylvania,1988 Ph. D. Dissertation. Does anyone know where she
might be now? (before I go on a chase through the collegate sources) She
mentions the example (on page 34) of Frank M. Rosa of "sending" for six family
members. I'm trying to connect for my Rosa family.
