I'm descended from Grimanesa's older brother, Duarte Nunes
Velho....he died in 1554.
This means we're connected on at least 2 of our lines since we both

I thought I remembered that you had made mention of being her
descendant in the past. I'm descended from Pero's brother, her son Nuno
Velho Cabral and Africa Anes.......so, you're my earliest cousin that I
know of to date,(most of the others are less than 500 years ago).
However, I've been reading quite a bit about Dom Afonso lll since
learning he's my grandfather in eons past....I'm actually more intrigued
by his mistress, Madragana from whom we descend....in one of the things
I read it stated that they have an estimated 5000 descendants so I guess
they'll be more cousins discovered at some point in time!
