To all the Ponta Garca Gang, I am determined to correct the mix-up I have in my
database regarding; Andre Furtado; Andre Costa Furtado or Andre whatever!
I have Andre Costa Furtado, born 9/28/1701 in Agua do Pau, Sao Pedro, Vila
Franca do Campo, Sao Miguel, Azores.
Married to this Andre I list 3 wives. It has been pointed out that there are
only 2 wives and the third one, Escolastica de Medeiros, born about 1720 in
Nossa Senhora da Piedade, Ponta Garca, Sao Miguel, Azores was not married to
this Andre.
I am attaching 2 descendant names for wife #1, Catharina de Mattos; Shirley
told me she had 10 children. I have only 9 listed. What am I missing?
For wife #2, Catharina de Oliveira, Shirley told me she had 11 children. I
have 12 listed.
Again, which child does not belong to this wife?
I am beginning with the information MOST of the Ponta Garca Gang has
confirmed. I plan to get these 2 wives figured out and then move on to
Escolastica de Medeiros. That is wife #3 I incorrectly entered for this
Andre. I have 8 children for Escolastica. My goal is to find the "correct"
Andre for her and the children. I do not have parents for Escolastica.
Anyone in the Ponta Garca Gang have connections to Escolastica that can
possible shed some light on who she is and is she belongs in this family?
