I agree with John For database purpose i do the modern spelling, i hate having duplicates and with diferent spellings its hard to keep your database in order, and i make a note of how it was spelled on the documents or known as ,
I know that John Vasconcelos doesn't agree with spelling names other than the way they are written, but its the choice I made with over 140,000 + database it would make hard for me to connect people.
