I am new to the group so I may be asking a question answered many times. I will be visiting Lisbon and Santa Maria Island later this summer. I have the names of my grandparents (John Tavares Rezendes [deRezendes], b 5/18/1881 and Maria Josephine Braga b 2/5/1884, both on SM) and my great grandparents (Luciano Tavares deRezendes b 1832 and Maria Eugenia deRego [second wife, sister of first wife] b 1844, both on SM). Do you know where to go on SM or Lisbon to get birth, dealth and/or marriage certificates?
