Them:  Are you Portuguese?
Me: Yes, my father is half.
Them: And your mother?
Me: She's from the Ozarks. (They don't hear the word "Ozarks.")
Them:  Where?
Me: Blue Eye
Them: What?

I don't know why they think I'm saying Azores for my mom and not Ozarks.  I
now say "the Ozarks of Missouri" and leave it at that.
