Manoel,

Per John Raposo, I'm connected to Miguel Rodrigues Noia b. 1570 in Vila
Franca m. to Ursula Rodrigues on 5.9.1615 in Rosario, Lagoa. I have so many
Rodrigues coming down; Sebastiao Rodrigues m. to Maria Manuel, Hyronima Dias
and to Catarina Velho. Not sure if they were brothers and/or second
marriages. They were from Sao Pedro, Vila Franca. Then there is Antonio
Rodrigues around 1700 from Matriz R.G. m. to Brisida Resendes.

I'm wondering if any of these are connected to my ggrandfather, Manuel de
Andrade de Almeida Rodrigues from Sao Roque, but nothing to prove where he
was born or if that was where he originally was from. I have written on my
grandparents marriage certificate that we was Manuel de Andrade, but on my
aunt's birth certificate it states his full name. He married Maria de Gloria
which I found was from Faja de Baixo.

I have Eliseu trying to get me a certificate on him and John doing the
research so hopefully I can get somewhere on this line.

Not strange for families from Vila Franca do Campo during the time period of
spanish ruling in São Miguel.

I descend from Manuel Rodrigues Noia born about 1640 in Vila Franca.

Hi Eric, I also have family from Flores. Jeronimo, Noia, they are mostly
from Ponta Delgada, Flores. My greatgrandfather went by the name of Manuel
Francisco and lived in Stonington, Ct. He also had a brother in Mass. who
used Jeronimo as his surname. Have traced most of his ancestors in the book
by Francisco Antonio Nunes Pimentel Gomes. I have family from all the
islands of the Azores. I live in StoningtonCt. would enjoy speaking to you.
