He is 60 years old more or less is what I can figure out. I did do the subtraction like you said and came up with the about date. I went back and read the marriage record of Joao Soares Figuiredo and Maria Braga, May 1708, the parties are assummed to be from Santa Barbara, because only Joao Soares Figueiredo's mother, Dona Isabel Chaves is stated as being from Matriz, Vila do Porto. Joao Soares Figueiredo's father Manuel Soares Figueiredo aka Manuel Sousa Figueiredo, Capitao, marries for the 2nd time in Vila do Porto and it states he is the widow of Dona Isabel and from S. Barbara. He marries May 23, 1716 in Vila do Porto, where the bride Isabel Nunes Braga is from. It is her first marriage. Sorry I couldn't help more about the obit. It looks like a lot of religious mumbo jumbo. Theresa > Repost for Sfig - tish.meals at gmail.com > > Hello, > I am hoping someone will be able to do a thorough translation of this obit > for me.
