Try the Trivoli Lisboa. Very nice and centrally located with access to train station, etc. And make sure you go to Senor Vinho's for Fado and dinner.

The Alfama is always a nice place to stay and only stay in the barrio alta if you are young and want to party... not a place for peace and quiet. Also you might want to look into renting a vacation apartment. Sometimes you can get a great deal on them. julzz ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: Mary Bordi <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sun, November 14, 2010 5:56:20 PM Subject: Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Hotel In Lisbon On Nov 14, 2010, at 4:28 PM, Paula Hoxie wrote: http://www.hotel-mundial.pt/hotel-mundial-lisbon/en/hp-Homepage-5.html I second that. I stayed there five years ago. It was a convenient walk to shopping and restaurants and the trolly stop was right outside. I also don't know about how it compares to others as far as rates go. There was a nice view from the rooftop at night. Mary -- To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected]. Follow the confirmation directions when they arrive.
