I hope someone can help me. I am trying to track down my lineage on my maternal side. I have come to a bit of an impasse though and i hope someone can either give me some information or point me in the correct direction to find out more about this particular line.
The Information i have is the following: Maternal Grandfather: Manuel Alexandre de MEDEIROS Junior Born: November 30, 1903 in Ginetes Died: August 20, 1974 (+ or - 1 day) in Ginetes Fraguesia: Ginetes Concelhao: Ponta Delga Father: Manuel Alexandre de MEDEIROS (Other Information is unknown) Mother: Antónia dos Anjos MEDEIROS (Other Information is unknown) Maternal Grandmother: Virginia da Estrela REGO Born: February 1, 1906 Died: Feb 19, 1979 (+ or - 1 day) Fraguesia: Ginetes Concelhao: Ponta Delgada Father: Manuel Joaquim de REGO (Other information is unknown) Mother: Maria dos Anjos PAVAO (Other information is unknown) Unfortunately, I don't have dates of birth for those descendants beyond my grandmother or grandfather. I also don't have the date of the marriage between the two either. Since the date of Birth is near the 1900 mark, i don't think it is obtainable through the Azores website that would allow for electronic certificates within the past 100 years. Would i have to go to the archives? How would i go about that?
