Don't click on links in emails with very little information in them.
Example: This is great! www.blahblahblah.com (don't click on that, I just
made it up).

You can click on links where someone has posted: I've lost the NEPS site.
What is the URL? And then someone posts it.

Or, someone is helping another. The answer is probably a couple of
paragraphs with lots of explanation and is all about GENEALOGY (the topic of
this list). There may be URLs in that message (to the Azores Genweb, the
CCA, etc). Those are fine.

If you are in doubt, don't click on it. If you clicked on it, update your
anti-virus and run it. Then update and run your anti-malware programs (such
as AdAware, Spybot, Malwarebytes - there are many others and forums, boards,
and lists dedicated to these topics).

When a listmember's email sends out the URLs, either I or Mel or Rosemarie
will go into the admin page and MODERATE that user. That means all messages
from that member get stuck in the spam filter until we review and release
them. They can become unmoderated again once they have their computer
clean.

A lot of these things have been hitting the genealogy community quite hard
since last spring. When in doubt, don't click it or download it.
