Mariana; Although I love finding new cousins and connections, I have no evidence thus far of my Coelho line connecting to anyone from Graciosa. Not that it isn't entirely possible, I just have no evidence of it. My great grandmother, Jacintha Coelho who, of course, shows up with several other surnames in various other bits of information, was also born on Santa Maria Island. Where her parents came from, I have not yet ascertained. My best guess is that Jacintha Coelho was born sometime between 1840 and 1855 base on the age of her first child. Also, I don't show the surnames Silveira or Sousa so far in my research of this line.
I know my grandfather had cousins and possibly siblings on the east coast of the U.S. and I believe also in the San Luis Obispo area of CA where he and my grandmother settled for a number of years before moving up to the Milpitas/San Jose are of CA. There have been other Coelho researchers on this list but; yes, far and few between. You might want to go to the archives and do a search. Perhaps you would connect with one of the other Coelhos.
