It is possible to get more than 2GB of free storage. After you download Dropbox, you are given a list of 7 tasks to familiarize yourself with the program. The tasks range from simply viewing the tutorial to uploading a file to inviting a friend to also download the program. If you complete 5 of the 7 tasks, you receive an additional 250MB. Also, if you invite a friend and the friend accepts, you each get an additional 250MB. It is possible to get up to 8GB (if I remember correctly) by inviting friends to Dropbox.
