It's been many years, but if I remember correctly, Danielle Steel is a quarter Portuguese. She had someone come from England (surname Stone) and I think the records in the Azores named the descendants Manuel Stone da Silva (I made that up....but it was Portuguese first name, Stone, then Portuguese last name). I think it would be best to send the record to the list.
