I agree with Cheri,

 

Look for the siblings also check the god parent's name. If it is the same on
all the siblings then that is another good indication.

 

For the most part the ages given in the margin are mostly accurate but I
have found a few off.

Terri,

It's probably the same guy.  Have you collected all of Francisco's siblings
to see how the mom's name, Maria changes?  It's a pain (and time consuming),
but check the late 1700s and early 1800s for every child born to an Andre da
Costa and Maria Anybody.  It then becomes very apparent if there are 2 Andre
da Costas running around.

I don't feel that our ancestors knew their birth dates that well during that
time period, especially if they were the hard working laborer.  Food and
shelter were more important!
