Cheri, I know quite a lot about my great grandparents and their lives in America, but nothing about their lives in Guadalupe before coming here. I know my G grandfather returned to Graciosa because he was refused entry into the country after a trip back to the Azores. It is frustrating that my Bettencourt/Silva family all live in the Boston area, yet none has looked up public records to find information relating to the property my great grandfather owned; or if they have they either don't know how to use the information or think it is inconsequential. This is the only branch of my family I have been unable to locate. Actually, I possibly have some information on the FHC films, but am unable to read it.
