By the way, the father, Jose Duarte b. Mar 1850, according to 1900 census Washington Twp. Alameda Co. CA, came to US 1871. His wife Mariana b. June 1860, came to us in 1874. I have tried to find him on ship's manifest - found a possibility, but not sure.
