Rick,
You, of all people, should know that you can never send "too much"
information to a genealogist :-) Always present the entire document,
if at all possible. There is a good deal of information in the
document to identify or discount any anomalies in the record, and,
therefore, help decipher what the scribe is recording more
expeditiously.

Anyway, this is a marriage record which took place on 16-Aug-1854, at
Igreja de Santissimo Salvador in Ribeirinha, annex to the Priorado de
Nossa Senhora de Estrela in the villa of Ribeira Grande, between
Manoel Lopes, son of Francisco Lopes and Maria Eugenia, and Anna
Jacintha, viuva (widow), of Joao Bothelho....

Please resist the temptation to always attribute the term "priorado,"
mentioned in several places in this record, to "priory." It does not
always have the same meaning. A "priory" is a convent, or monastery.
However, in this record, priorado translates more properly to
"priorate," a reference to that church's status as the "mother church"
of the district.
