When I'm researching a brick wall I:

1. On Ancestry review "Public Members Trees" and if something looks good,
I write the Tree Owner. Out of 10 messages sent, I received 8. Of the 8,
4 were solid. And 3 shared with me more info than I ever thought I would
learn from one person.

2. Since I'm not traveling to any southern states, I can write to the
church in the area that my family lived. If the church is no longer standing,
many of the church records were sent to the county for safe keeping. I
was lucky to know the faith of my Mother's family, so writing to the church
wasn't so hard, once I was able to get the address.

Hi All,

This is off topic but I am hoping someone on this list can give me some
guidance. I found the following on Ancestry:

U.S. and International Marriage Records, 1560-1900
Name: Eliza Jarratt
Spouse Name: James Mcneal
Number Pages: 1
Source Citation: Source number:  273.000; Source type: Electronic Database;
Number of Pages: 1; Submitter Code: JWJ.
Source Information: Yates Publishing. U.S. and International Marriage
Records, 1560-1900 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations
Inc, 2004.
Original data: This unique collection of records was extracted from a
variety of sources including family group sheets and electronic databases.
Originally, the information was derived from an array of materials including
pedigree charts, family history articles, querie. Description: This database
contains marriage record information for approximately 1,400,000
individuals from across all 50 United States and 32 different countries around
the
world between 1560 and 1900. These records, which include information on over
500 years of marriages, were extracted from family group sheets,
electronic databases, biographies, wills, and other sources.

My husband's gggrandfather was James McNeil/McNeal b. abt. 1799 SC or GA.
We know his wife's name is Eliza from census records. We are trying to find
out if this Eliza Jarratt could be her but Ancestry only give the above
info. How do I find out where to find out more on this marriage?

Thank you.
