"E" Glad you found your information and know more family. I had been researching the Vieira-Anselmo line off and on since 197Xish. I am grateful to have met my Great Aunt before she passed. Patsy posted a note on Ancestry in 2001. I didn't read it until 2007. Of the 10 children that first settled in Pleasanton, CA, two died without children, and we have made contact 7 families of which 6 responded and we remain in contact with them. Thank goodness we don't have to travel, and live in the computer age to do our research. Can't imagine if any of the results would have been so successful. And now with more participating with DNA testing, the results are having much more success, or at least for some. Not the date I was looking for but maybe she was his 2nd wife....I have been searching Ancestry trees, etc. and have finally tied into other family members. Many of the records I have tried to obtain were "burned with the courthouse." Some courthouses in the South burned 3 times or more! My husband's cousin (same surname) did do a DNA study for us and he matches someone who we contacted and he replied but he did not furnish any genealogy and has since been silent but I was finally able to find his family and I now know my husband's mother shares the same gggrandparents (not sure of their names). She is from the brother James and he is from the brother John. My husband's cousin matched this same person on 12, 25 and 37 markers so we know they are from the same family. Will still keep searching but I am content in knowing we finally know we have "found" our family - only took over 7 years!!! "E" -- To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected].
