Ola Joe! I'm not sure if these are the same people but Carlos Machado lists a Manuel Vaz Sousa (b. abt 1565) married to Ignes Costa (b.abt 1570) m. abt 1588. They had two daughters: Maria Cabeceiras (1590), Ana da Costa abt a year or two later. Manuel is descended from Goncalo Vaz Carreiro-Delgado of Lisbon, and his wife Duarte Cabeceiras of Lagos, Portugal. There are more interesting names in this family.
