Hello list; I just wanted to do a public Happy Dance and give a recommendation! As I recently mentioned, my cousin, Al Rose, recently did the Family Finder test at FTDNA and had a match. By comparing notes they found who they thought was their mutual ancestor. As it turned out it was the line of our, mine and Al's, ggrandmother who we had been working on for years now.
Luckily, the man who matched with Al knew that his ancestor was from Flores! Since neither Al nor I were able to get down to the FHC, I decided to pay Joao Ventura to search for our ggrandmother's birth record. Drum roll please.. Joao was able to find it in a manner of hours. He emailed me a copy of the original document, a typed version of it and the translation!! All I can say is, I highly recommend Joao Ventura for your research needs. Considering that my cousin and I have been trying to figure out where our ggrandmother was born for years, this has been a terrific find and Joao's charge for finding the record is relatively inexpensive and he was very quick!
