I am currently sorting and filing all the documents I have by
individuals. I came across two types of documents and I do not know how
or where they were created. I am hoping someone can educate me to the
purpose and intent of such forms. the name of the two forms are: Registo
de Nucleo familiar and Registo de grupo familiar. The forms are almost
identical. They have the same preprinted format which includes : esposo,
esposa, their respective pai, and mae, and entry for five filhos with
all the vital statistics which includes the entry number in the
respective book with the year. i.e., 5/1888. There is a continuation
sheet with the parents name and entry for additional seven filhos. On
the nucleo form, the latest was 1942, the data was handwritten, and the
form has a 1964 date, the data was typed. Is there a technical reason
for the name change? On most nascimento lines, the words: terreiro do
passo are written. I think this means born at home. I have also one
written as: caldeiro?. This term I am not familiar.
Thank you for any assistance in advance
