Pam S, The Madeiran Government has their CCA web site, but it's called ARM (Arquivo Regional Madeira). They have the most records at this time.
The link you sent was "Portuguese Marriages" so I missed it in the listing, as I was looking for something that said Funchal. They have only 59,000 marriages listed. Family Search is digitizing ALL their records. I think they told me and Joao it will take 4-5 years to get it all digitized. Indexing is an ongoing project. To index something outside of the U.S., you need to index something in the U.S. first to get used to their system. I don't know how long it will take to index all their records. A real long time.
