Mary B, I'll take a look, because not everyone has their Gedcom up yet so you may not realize that you have a Portuguese match if the match name is "Wilma Williams" and her grandma was a Silva. And perhaps "Wilma" was on this list but only signs her name as Wilma? You may not realize she's the same Wilma doing Portuguese research as the "Wilma Williams" on your DNA match page. That's probably a good reason for people to sign their first and last names.
We're up to 132 Family Finder tests. If the 132 was equally spread across all 9 of the Azores, then that would be almost 15 results per island. Not much in the big scheme of things. And there are way more people out there with the British Isles type ancestry. So if you are a mixed European, you will see more Family Finder results indicating the countries other than Portugal. Unless you have Jewish in you. The project admins for the various Jewish projects have really suggested the Family Finder test. If a person has a substantial amount of Jewish DNA, he/she can have an overwhelming number of Jewish matches. There is a notification on your page if this is happening. I think it's only happening to 1 person right now. 50 pages of matches and the vast majority of them are Jewish. AncestryDNA is still in its infancy. I don't know who is on their advisory board. I know who is on FTDNA's. When you look at FTDNA's FAQs for the Family Finder, you will see that they have not yet tested Portugal. Most of the time, Portuguese people come out as Spanish or French. As they continue to test more populations, this will change (I've already seen it change in my mom's results). I'm assuming they think your DNA is closer to French (probably because you are mixed European) so the Iberian Peninsula does not light up on the map.
