It's come up twice this week with 2 researchers who have found records that lead them out of the comfort of their island/freguesia to somewhere new.
Azores GenWeb has the maps (I'm working on color coding some of them to show each freguesia - a project that wound up being back burnered). All you have to do is click on your island and a new window opens with the map of that island, listing all the freguesias, church(es) within that freguesia, years covered, and even links to the CCA or NEPS (for those with online databases). http://goo.gl/IGeV1 You can all thank Kathy Cardoza for the hard work she puts into the Azores GenWeb. -- Cheri Mello Listowner, Azores-Gen Researching: Vila Franca, Ponta Garca, Ribeira Quente, Ribeira das Tainhas, Achada -- To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected].
