It's come up twice this week with 2 researchers who have found records that
lead them out of the comfort of their island/freguesia to somewhere new.

Azores GenWeb has the maps (I'm working on color coding some of them to
show each freguesia - a project that wound up being back burnered). All you
have to do is click on your island and a new window opens with the map of
that island, listing all the freguesias, church(es) within that freguesia,
years covered, and even links to the CCA or NEPS (for those with online
databases).
