I don't know for sure if they do this in he US but in Canada the microfilms 
that you can order online are deliverable to local libraries through a 'share' 
program. 

I'm able to pick up the film (sign a paper) every time I visit my reference 
library and view the film until I let them know that I'm done with the roll, at 
which point they send it back.

Perhaps different states may have a similar program. I would check and also 
make sure that they have the appropriate microfilm readers.
