is true. His son (my great uncle) was William Madison Wood)\
the woolen mill king from Ma. many stories written about the Wood family from
Portugal - don't know what is true or not???

Hi Shirley
GG Grandfather naturalization papers in 1853 in Boston, stated that he came
from Fayall - he used the name of William J. Wood.
His marriage papers state that his father was Janets (probably Jacento and
mother was Gacia (Maybe Garcia) Born Oct 5, 1830
or Oct 6, 1827. Joao Ventura is researching my GG Grandmother in Pico -
suggested I look for a Guilherme in Faial.
Thank for offering.
Sincerely, Carol
