Hi Diane, I'm no expert but here is what I can make of it. 26 Feb 1863 Christiano Machado Pereira and Perpetua Roza married in San Mateus church he is 37 widower of Victorina Roza that died in this village legitimate son of Felix ?? And Maria Joseph?? The bride is 34 legitimate daughter of Manuel de Souza ?? and Victorina Roza.
The priest wrote Christiano's name at the bottom if the certificate and he made his mark which would mean he didn't write. I am inclined to think the bride and deceased wife may have been sisters based on the name being the same as the mother. The marriage record for Christiano and Victorina will prove or disprove that. Good luck!! Denise De Freitas D'Antona Sent from my iPhone On Sep 22, 2012, at 2:24 AM, Diane <[email protected]> wrote: > Would some kind person be able to translate this record for me please.
