Was it unusual  to have 3 priests attend a wedding.  Two priests were from 
Rabo de Peixe parrish of Bom Jesus and are listed as testemunhas " 
witnesses" and the other priest was from Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres, Pico 
da Pedra. This is from early 1800s. Was it because it was a respected  
family in the community or perhaps the bride and groom didn't have 2 
witnesses.  
 
Just curious if anyone might have some thoughts or insights on this.
