I certify that in the book of baptism records of this parish of this year of 1895, page 6, number (18?), you will find in the following context: On the twenty-fourth day of the month of March of the year one thousand, eight-hundred & ninety-five, in this parish church of Nossa Senhora 'Ajuda, of Bretanha, in the district county of Ponta Delgada, diocese of Angra, I solemnly baptized an individual of the female sex, of whom I gave the name of Rosa, and who was born in this parish at 10 o'clock in the morning, on the 15th of the current month and year, legitimate daughter, first name of Francisco Tavares, a farmer, native of this parish, and of Maria da Conceição, a seamstress and native of Santo Antonio, received in this parish and [are] parishioners, residents of Canada do Pico of this parish, paternal granddaughter of José Tavares and of Maria Jacintha, and maternal [granddaughter] of Manoe d'Arruda d'Oliveira Cabral and of Rosa de Jesus.
