Barbara, The passenger lists has her age as 56, born approx 1864. It also lists her last residence as , Povoacao, Sao Miguel. Which may or maynot be where she was born, but it's probably close. The records for Povoacao are online, but you need her parents or husband's names before you can search, otherwise, all you will see is a bunch of Maria's. If you know her date of death and she died in The Fall River area, you can search the Diario de Noticias, Portuguese online newspaper at UMASS Dartmouth, for her obituary. That may have where she was born or her husband's name. The record also lists a sister she was going to who lived on North Main St. and her contact in the Azores. There should be an address for the contact, probably where she lived. If she died in Fall River, You can get her death certificate at Fall River City Hall for about $ 15.00. That may have her place of birth. The Fall River Herald may have an obituary. They have an online list by year. Fall River has a lot of information for the asking. When you find the village, the Family History Center in Dartmouth, MA has all the Sao Miguel films.
