Much probably I have a lot of Arruda relatives in California… I know that they emigrated to Hawaii and much probably later they went to California… Part of the Arruda part of the family is not very well known to me. I am starting to try to follow that line, wich I think goes at least in three main directions. The Line of Povoação is more or less cared of (because one of them was a Mayor), but not the other too. I know someone wento Brasil too… Another line ends up in NORDESTE and the other is from Porto Formoso as far as I know… I have my data published at genea.org (you have to put www. Before) under the name of eliseumanuel. I think you have to register but it is free. The advantage is that you can change the whole site in English.
