Yes, you can join another project. I had a relative tested about 5 or 6 years ago under his surname project. I recently found out that there was a project that was for the location he came from and they walked me through the process. Easy. I would wait until your results come back from one and then go to the other you want to join and ask them how to transfer your information there also.
