I updated the page on the Azores GenWeb site about Alien Registrations with the
current info and with links to submit an index or records search.

If you don't know about this wonderful resource, please check it out. If your
ancestor was in the U.S. and not a citizen between 1940 and 1944, it was the
Law that he/she fill out this form that would register them as a non-citizen.
The form would include the following information:
name
other names he is known by
current address
birth date and place
physical description
place, date, and ship he immigrated on
occupation and place of employment
whether or not he filed first papers or not
other questions about clubs, military service, etc.
their fingerprint
