There's a preface in the book that they based it off of.  If I remember
right, it said it was a sociology study that they were compiling and
putting online.  I'm not sure, but something is saying in the back of my
head that it's from the original records.  They omitted the out-of-wedlock
babies and unwed mothers (strange for a sociology study, as those people
are part of society).  Others have mentioned things such as the ancestor is
named Manuel do Rego one time and Manuel Barboza another time, so they just
morph him together and he becomes Manuel do Rego Barboza (no, I don't have
this ancestor and I completely made up that name).

People from this list have submitted corrections to the NEPS or CITCEM
database.  Guess they are changing their name/acronym.
