Does anyone on the list know of someone who would be able to do some
Passportes lookups for me for the Horta Port?
There are approximately 4 individuals that I need to find (2 of the 4 more
so right now). I have a several ship passenger lists coming from the port
of Fayal (Horta) to Boston for two of the people and therefore the
Passportes on the other end would be much easier to locate. The people are:
Matheus Jose das Neves - he was presumably from Madelena, Pico, and arrived
in Boston aboard the brig *Evanista *on 2 Oct 1865 from the Port of Fayal.
Francisco Pereira - he was most likely from Creache Velha, Pico and *
possible* match for ship record is that he arrived in Boston aboard the
Bark Azor in May of 1857 from the Port of Fayal.
The other individuals I am looking for: Antonio Silva (Silveira) and his
son Jose Silva (Silveira) and Marianna Freitas are most likely from Flores,
but are still first trying to track down when they actually came from the
Azores to the US before I have someone look into the Horta Passportes.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
