David, This is how I do it. Maybe someone else has better way?? Just go to Ancestry. Under Quick Links in the upper right hand corner you will see Ancestry Card Catalog. Click on this. On the left hand side there is Title and Keywords. I usually search with Keywords. Put in Newspapers Hayward and 2 will come up. Click on these and pick the one you want. Then scroll down and on the right hand side it gives you the dates covered. You can do this for Oakland, etc. or just plain Newspapers and whatever state you want to look at, (i.e. Newspapers California or any other State) and you can look at these.
